The film "Final Interview" topped the box office on its first day of release.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie tickets on November 5, "Final Interview" attracted 26,700 moviegoers nationwide on its opening day, November 4. With this, it pushed aside the Japanese animated film "Chiikawa the Movie: The Secret of the Mermaid Island," which had maintained the No. 1 spot for nearly four weeks, to claim the box office throne.
However, with cinemas entering an off-peak season, the fact that the daily audience count remains under 30,000 leaves something to be desired. The film must now rely on word of mouth to build its numbers.
"Final Interview" depicts the story of six applicants gathered in a final interview room who grow suspicious of each other and plunge into chaos after discovering mysterious envelopes containing revelations about one another. Cho Yi-hyun, Kim Jaewon, Shin Seungho, Kang Youseok, Kwak Dong-yeon, and Bae Gang-Hee star as the leads.
