Kawhi Leonard, the ace of the NBA's Toronto Raptors, has completed knee treatment and is preparing for his return.
The Toronto franchise announced today (November 4) that Leonard has successfully finished treatment to resolve swelling in his left knee.
Leonard is expected to miss about three more games.
The team stated that it will re-evaluate and announce Leonard's condition in a week.
Local media outlets, including the Associated Press, projected that Leonard could potentially return as early as the game against the Boston Celtics on November 12.
Leonard was sidelined due to this injury after averaging 19.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in the first two games of the season.
Toronto recorded two wins and three losses in the five games Leonard missed.
Leonard is a star player who has been named NBA Finals MVP twice.
During the 2018-2019 season, he contributed to Toronto's first championship in franchise history.
After subsequently playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, Leonard returned to Toronto via a trade this past summer.
