First up in our useful news segment, "Equity-shared homes make their debut."
Equity-shared homes, which allow homebuyers to move in after paying only a portion of the housing price and purchase the remaining equity later, are being supplied for the first time.
The Gyeonggi Housing & Urban Corporation (GH) is supplying 240 equity-accumulating subscription housing units in Gwanggyo New Town, Suwon, for the first time.
Based on a dedicated area of 59 square meters, the pre-sale price is approximately 700 million won. Buyers will initially acquire about 25 percent of the equity, amounting to roughly 170 million won, and then acquire additional equity every five years to secure full ownership over a 20-year period.
However, residents must pay separate rent or a deposit for the equity they have not yet acquired.
Applications for special supply will be accepted starting on the 9th, followed by general supply on the 10th.
Move-ins are scheduled for the second half of 2029.
