As we head deeper into late autumn, the weather is turning chilly from time to time.
Some of you might feel disappointed, thinking autumn is already slipping away before you even got to pull out your autumn clothes a few times this year.
For those people, you might be able to wear your autumn clothes one more time tomorrow (the 4th).
As you can see, tomorrow will be relatively mild during the day as a comparatively warm southeasterly wind blows along the edge of a high-pressure system located over the East Sea.
However, the temperature difference between morning and afternoon will be wide at around 15°C (59°F), mainly in the central inland areas, so it is advisable to dress in layers.
Meanwhile, rain will begin in Jeju late tomorrow afternoon.
This rain will expand nationwide between early dawn and morning the day after tomorrow, and will mostly stop by the afternoon.
As for the rainfall, centered on the southern regions where a low-pressure system passes, up to 40 mm will soak South Jeolla and South Gyeongsang provinces, and up to 60 mm in the mountainous areas of Jeju. The greater Seoul area, being far from the low-pressure system, will see a small amount of around 5 mm.
Dense fog will form until tomorrow morning, mainly in the central regions, North Jeolla, and North Gyeongsang inland areas.
Morning lows will be 8°C (46°F) in Seoul and Gwangju, which is about 3 to 4 degrees higher than today.
Daytime highs will reach 18°C (64°F) in Seoul and 19°C (66°F) in Busan, similar to or slightly higher than today.
The weather will turn cold again starting Friday.
On Saturday, which marks 'Ipdong' (the beginning of winter) on the traditional lunar calendar, morning temperatures in Seoul are expected to drop below freezing for the first time this autumn.
