Around 1:30 PM on October 3, in front of a fire station in Seoul.
A couple is standing anxiously while holding a baby.
The parents reported that a wet wipe wrapper was stuck in their 7-month-old infant's throat and they needed to get to the emergency room quickly. However, all ambulances at the nearby fire station were already dispatched, leaving no vehicle available to provide first aid to the child and transport them to the emergency room.
Upon receiving the report, the police quickly dispatched two patrol cars from a nearby substation, and the patrol cars picked up the child and parents and headed toward a nearby university hospital emergency room.
However, because a festival was taking place nearby during the weekend daytime, traffic congestion was at its peak.
In response, one patrol car sounded its siren and went ahead to guide the other patrol car carrying the child and parents.
"Even amid the severe congestion, drivers on the road recognized the patrol car's situation and demonstrated civic consciousness, creating a 'Moses Miracle,'" the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency stated. "Thanks to that, we were able to swiftly transport the child to a nearby university hospital emergency room."
After the child's condition improved following treatment at the emergency room, the parents visited the substation that helped them to express their gratitude.
