Head Coach Park Hang-seo, who leads a Thai professional football team, has sparked controversy after being targeted with profanity-laced, racially discriminatory taunts by an opposing team's fan.
Coach Park's club immediately issued a statement and reported the incident to the Football Association of Thailand.
Following a Thai second-division league match, home fans in Pattaya hurled "racially discriminatory" remarks at the visiting team's manager, Park Hang-seo.

Officials held back the enraged coach, preventing a physical clash, but a tense, on-the-brink situation persisted for a while.
The club released a condemning statement saying, "We stand united against all forms of discrimination," and adding, "Everyone deserves to be respected."
Coach Park's side told SBS, "The fan continuously made racially discriminatory remarks toward a foreign player during the match as well," and added, "The club has reported the incident to the Football Association of Thailand, and the association has launched an investigation."
