Actor Park Hae-jin is joining "Good Partner" Season 2, showcasing an exceptional presence.
On November 2, the team behind the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Good Partner" Season 2 (written by Choi Yu-na, directed by Seo Min-jung) released the first stills of Park Hae-jin, who has completely transformed into attorney Park Tae-soo, a lawyer aiming for the top spot in the divorce field.
"Good Partner" Season 2 is a refreshing divorce drama where star attorney Cha Eun-kyung (played by Jang Nara), for whom divorce is second nature, and experienced attorney Kang Hye-sung (played by Kim Hyeyoon), who is deeply passionate about divorce cases, become each other's good partners. Written once again by divorce specialist attorney Choi Yu-na, the drama stars Jang Nara, Kim Hyeyoon, P.O, and Park Hae-jin.
Park Tae-soo, played by Park Hae-jin, is both a YouTuber who runs the channel "By the Law Tae-soo" with 200,000 subscribers and the managing partner of Law Firm Tae-soo who possesses sharp business acumen. Operating under the conviction that "lawyers are in the service industry," he is someone who persistently digs in to achieve optimal results, engaging in a fierce rivalry with Cha Eun-kyung over the top position in the divorce scene.
In the released stills, Park Hae-jin captures attention by shifting between a sophisticated aura that draws in clients with a gentle smile and the fierce demeanor of an "offensive" attorney who boldly makes aggressive moves to secure victories in court.
Sharing his thoughts on joining the cast, Park Hae-jin said, "I was really looking forward to Season 2 after enjoying the original series, so when I received such a great offer, I gladly accepted." He added, "Joining a hit project like Season 1 as a new character did come with some pressure, but Tae-soo was such an intriguing character that I chose the role thinking I could show a new side of myself."
Describing Park Tae-soo as the most realistic character in "Good Partner" Season 2, Park Hae-jin explained, "A lawyer is a legal professional, but also an entrepreneur, and Tae-soo is someone who simultaneously works as a YouTuber. He is a character who makes choices tailored to this era of self-promotion." He continued, "Tae-soo serves as a breathing room where viewers can ease tension in a storyline that could otherwise feel heavy. I pursued a relatively light character and put effort into portraying him in as human and comfortable a way as possible," noting, "A slightly cute side or a bit of playfulness will likely be Tae-soo's charming points."
Raising anticipation with the addition of Park Hae-jin, "Good Partner" Season 2 will premiere on Friday, November 20 at 9:50 PM as the follow-up to the currently airing "Doctor X: Mafia in White."
