Football star Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, scored a hat-trick in his team's match to reach 985 goals in his professional career.
Playing in a home match of the 2026-2027 Saudi Pro League held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo scored three goals exclusively in the second half to lead his team to a 5-3 victory.
With the score tied 2-2, he scored his first goal with his left foot in the 21st minute of the second half, added a second with a header in the 26th minute, and completed his hat-trick with his right foot in the 36th minute.
Born in February 1985 and currently 41 years old, Ronaldo has now recorded 985 goals across international and professional matches, leaving him just 15 goals away from the milestone of 1,000 goals.
As he spends the twilight of his playing career, Ronaldo has set reaching 1,000 career goals as his final goal before retirement, and at his current pace, achieving the historic record seems to be only a matter of time.
