NOL Universe, a travel and leisure platform operator, has disclosed and apologized for a data breach that leaked the personal information of customers and employees due to an external cyberattack.
NOL Universe announced on its website today (October 26) that "on October 22nd, an external attacker exploited a security vulnerability to gain abnormal access to domestic accommodation reservation data from the former Interpark Tour."
The hacking incident resulted in the leakage of information including member IDs, member numbers, and accommodation usage dates.
NOL Universe explained that it immediately patched the security vulnerability upon discovering the personal information leak and requested technical support from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).
