Korean Air, the combined champions of the men's professional volleyball division last season, has advanced to the final of the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) Cup.
Korean Air defeated Woori Card 3-0 (25-22, 37-35, 25-16) in the semifinals of the 2026 Yeosu NH Nonghyup Cup Pro Volleyball Tournament held today (October 24) at Jinnam Gymnasium in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do and Gwangju integrated city.
Korean Air will compete for the championship at 1:30 PM tomorrow (October 25) at the same venue against the winner of the match between KEPCO and Hyundai Capital.
Korean Air is the team with the most KOVO Cup titles. If they lift the trophy once again, it will mark their second consecutive championship and their seventh overall.
Korean Air head coach Renan Dal Zotto was absent due to emergency back surgery.
Korean Air effectively sidelined new foreign attacker Xander Ketrzynski (registered name Ketrzynski), who showed a sluggish performance in the early part of the first set, and defeated Woori Card relying solely on domestic players.
Woori Card, which lagged behind in overall teamwork, self-destructed with 28 unforced errors, 11 more than Korean Air.
