Multinational girl group A2O LITE, created by producer Lee Soo-man, shared their joy over hitting No. 1 on domestic music streaming charts in just 29 hours and topping a music show in only a week, saying, "We never expected it at all."
On October 21, A2O LITE appeared on MBC FM4U's "Hope Song at Noon." Hosted by Sunny—producer Lee Soo-man's niece, agency senior, and fellow producer filling in for Kim Shin-young as special host—this marked the group's first live radio broadcast since their debut, aside from music shows.
When Sunny said, "You are all so cute and lovely, but since it's your first broadcast, you must be very nervous," YOUNG replied, "We also have a live performance prepared for today, so I warmed up my voice diligently while keeping that in mind." VORA shared, "In the waiting room, I kept brainwashing myself to become an artist who doesn't lose energy and can share many stories."
When Sunny asked for an anecdote from after their No. 1 achievement, calling it "nearly the fastest record to reach No. 1 on the music charts," RADA answered, "Because we won first place, we ate ice cream," and the members added, "It was a colorful variety of flavors, just like our song 'NEON.'"
As the clip of YOUNG giving her acceptance speech during the No. 1 encore stage aired on the show, she shyly said, "I could have spoken better, but I think I was too nervous." When asked what they would do if they won first place again, the members said, "We hope to win first place nine times so that everyone can give an acceptance speech."
In response to a listener's question asking if they had seen the AI video of Lee Soo-man and Yoo Young-jin that Sunny posted on social media, YOUNG said, "I was so shocked."
When Sunny asked, "Are Producer Lee Soo-man and Director Yoo Young-jin scary?" the members shook their heads and replied, "No." Sunny added, "They are not people who scold harshly like that."
Sunny remarked, "I wasn't scared of the AI video at all, but there is one thing I want to reveal," mentioning a video where Lee Soo-man personally demonstrated the intro choreography of lifting a leg to AIJING. Recalling that moment, AIJING laughed and said, "I was so nervous back then."
When YOUNG, whose birthday is next Tuesday, was asked, "Is there a gift you want to receive?" she answered, "I want to have a meal with Sunny sunbaenim." Sunny promised, "I will buy meat for all of you," explaining their past time together by adding, "In the practice room, we practiced together rather than having meals together."
Previously, Sunny left SM Entertainment, where she had been for 16 years, and moved to A2O Entertainment, founded in 2023 by former SM Chief Producer Lee Soo-man. The following year, Sunny drew attention when she was revealed transforming into a producer under the mentorship of producer Yoo Young-jin. At the time, Sunny was reported to have taken charge of vocal recording direction, choreography, mental care, content filming, and styling for the girl group members ahead of their debut.
