A rapper in his 40s, identified as A, who appeared on Mnet's 'Show Me The Money', has been sent to trial on charges of purchasing and smoking marijuana.
The Suwon District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 20th that it indicted A without detention on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act on the 16th. A is accused of smoking marijuana multiple times in November of last year and August of this year. Prosecutors believe that A purchased marijuana from a 30s dealer, B, in November of last year, and from another dealer in August of this year.
KBS reported that police raided the residence of A, a well-known rapper who appeared on 'Show Me The Money', in August, during which marijuana and substances suspected to be liquid marijuana were found at his home. A preliminary drug test reportedly also came back positive for marijuana.
The investigation began with the dealer, B. KBS reported that while investigating B, the Government Joint Investigation Division for Narcotics Crimes at the Suwon District Prosecutor's Office (currently the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office) confirmed that two individuals, including A, had purchased and used marijuana, leading to A's arrest in August.
B is accused of cultivating marijuana and manufacturing marijuana gummies at his home from August 2024 to June of this year. B allegedly made 8 million won in profits by selling about 105 grams of marijuana and 50 marijuana gummies, and A reportedly purchased marijuana and marijuana gummies from B at a club in Hongdae in November of last year. B was indicted and detained in July on charges of cultivating marijuana and manufacturing marijuana gummies at his home.
