'You're my destiny': Kang Shin-il's Wife Oh Su-mi Reveals She Tried to Get Dumped by Him on Their First Date

Kang Shin-il's wife, Oh Su-mi, shared her first impressions of her husband.

On the October 20 broadcast of SBS's "You're my destiny" (hereafter "You're my destiny"), actor Kang Shin-il drew attention as he appeared alongside his beautiful wife, Oh Su-mi.

On the broadcast, Kang Shin-il's wife Oh Su-mi recalled that time, saying, "Our first meeting was not fun. With his bushy beard and bobbed hair, I thought he was really not my type. From head to toe, there was not a single thing I liked."

In response, Kang Shin-il spoke candidly about their first meeting: "I felt it was such great happiness just facing someone so pretty. From our first meeting, I thought to myself that it would be wonderful to live with that person."

Oh Su-mi remembered that time, saying, "I felt he would be hurt if he was rejected by me. I worried that if he got dumped by me, he wouldn't be able to muster up the courage when meeting someone next time, so I decided to get dumped myself." She added, "For three hours, I deliberately acted foolish, wondering how I could make him dislike me. Even then, he was a man of few words, and I thought, 'He's not my type, and I will never see him again.'"

However, Oh Su-mi's strategy ended up having the opposite effect and came across as charming. In response, Kang Shin-il drew attention by saying, "I felt that she had what I didn't. After that, I held on to her endlessly, and eventually we even got married."
