Actor Jin Seon-kyu is set to appear as a guest on SBS's "Master Hang-jun" to share the touching behind-the-scenes story of his wife Park Bo-kyung's award win, as well as an unexpected dark past involving an audition.
In the upcoming second episode of the SBS cinematic talk variety show "Master Hang-jun," airing at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, the 22nd, actor Jin Seon-kyu will appear and showcase his witty banter with director Hang Jun-jang.
During the show, Jin looks back on the moment he burst into tears when his wife, Park Bo-kyung, was announced as a winner at the 5th Blue Dragon Awards. Jin touches the hearts of viewers by sharing, "Seeing the person I love win an award made me a thousand times happier than receiving one myself," adding, "Flashbacks rushed through my mind, recalling the time when she was pregnant and I told her, 'You act for a while, and I'll be the mom.'"
Jin also mentions the time of his wife's first audition after her hiatus from childcare, revealing an unexpected embarrassing memory of running his mouth. Jin expresses his embarrassment, saying, "I tried to comfort her by offering well-meaning advice, saying, 'I failed over 200 auditions myself,' but she ended up passing the audition on her very first try."
Upon hearing this, Hang Jun-jang reportedly threw friendly jabs by remarking, "Park Bo-kyung passing right away despite a career break is even more impressive than Jin Seon-kyu, who has been acting continuously," sending the studio into a burst of laughter.
In addition, the broadcast will feature Jin's humorous self-punishment as he suddenly reflects on the past when he acted smugly in front of his wife as a senior in awards ceremonies.
"Master Hang-jun," featuring the witty chemistry between actor Jin Seon-kyu and director Hang Jun-jang, will air at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, the 22nd.
