Singer-songwriter EJAE (Kim Eun-jae), who provided the singing voice for the main character Rumi in the Netflix animated film "KPop Demon Hunters," has tied the knot with producer and composer Samuel Kim (Sam Kim).
According to U.S. fashion magazine Vogue on October 20, the couple held their wedding ceremony on October 17 at Stage 28 in Godeok-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul. They moved up their wedding by one month, having originally planned to hold the ceremony in California in November.
Stage 28, where the wedding took place, is the site of the former residence of EJAE's maternal grandfather, veteran actor Shin Young-kyun (99), and is currently home to the Shin Young-kyun Arts and Culture Foundation. EJAE's older brother also had his wedding ceremony at the venue, and EJAE reportedly held a quiet yet warm ceremony with family members without public notice. EJAE is the child of Shin Hye-jin, vice chairperson of Seyoung Enterprise and daughter of Shin Young-kyun.
Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami from "KPop Demon Hunters" were also reported to have attended the ceremony as guests.
Prior to the wedding, EJAE attended the 16th Beautiful Artist Awards ceremony held at Stage 28 in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, on October 15 alongside her groom-to-be, Samuel Kim.
A former SM Entertainment trainee, EJAE composed Red Velvet's "Psycho" as well as aespa's "Drama" and "Armageddon," and gained immense popularity after composing and singing the main theme song for "KPop Demon Hunters."
EJAE and Samuel Kim first crossed paths during a music session in May 2017 and, after dating, held an engagement ceremony in June of last year.
