The race to secure a PGA Tour card for the 2027 season continues this week.
The Butterfield Bermuda Championship, part of the PGA Tour's Fall Series, will take place over four days starting on the 22nd (local time) at Port Royal Golf Course (par 71) in Southampton, Bermuda.
The Fall Series consists of a total of eight tournaments, and players must accumulate FedEx Cup rankings within the top 100 in these events to secure their PGA Tour cards for next year.
Noh Seung-yul is set to compete in the Bermuda Championship, the fourth tournament of the Fall Series.
Noh has been vying for a Tour card this year by alternating between the Korn Ferry Tour, the secondary tour, and the Fall Series events, but he has not yet achieved his goal.
He finished 47th in the Korn Ferry Tour rankings, falling short of the top 20 that earn PGA Tour cards.
Noh now needs to lift his FedEx Cup ranking, currently at 189th, into the top 100 during the remaining Fall Series events.
His best finish at this tournament was a tie for 30th in 2021.
In addition, players hovering around the 100th spot in the FedEx Cup rankings will compete in droves.
Lee Hodges (USA), ranked 100th in the FedEx Cup, Max Greyserman (USA), ranked 99th, and Seamus Power (Ireland), ranked 103rd, are expected to go all out to cross the bubble for a tour card.
Meanwhile, Austin Lemieux (USA), the son of National Hockey League legend Mario Lemieux, is drawing attention after passing the Monday qualifier to earn a spot in the tournament field.
