Group IVE (AN YUJIN, GAEUL, REI, JANG WONYOUNG, LIZ, LEESEO) is pre-releasing the title track of the same name from their new mini-album "Looks Can Kill" on October 19.

According to agency Starship Entertainment, IVE will release "Looks Can Kill" on various music streaming sites at 6 p.m. today. The mini-album will be released on October 26. This marks their comeback about eight months after their second full-length album "REVIVE+."

IVE will perform "Looks Can Kill" for the first time today on the live stage of "Spotify DIVE ACADEMY," held at Arc Gangnam in Seoul. Today marks the final day of the event, which runs for three days starting October 17.

The new album is a project that expands the "girl fantasy" universe that IVE has presented. Following Cupid and magical girl, they have introduced another alter ego: "girl hero." The album includes a total of six tracks, featuring the title track alongside "Mirror Mirror," "SNAKESKIN," "CRUMBS," "Girls Girls Girls," and "Glow Motion."

The agency introduced the title track "Looks Can Kill" as a song that blends a synth pad rhythm with heavy bass, dynamic drums, and electronic sounds. Lyricist Seo Ji-eum, who has contributed to many of IVE's hit tracks, Lil Cherry, and member REI are credited for the lyrics. GAEUL and LIZ participated in writing the lyrics for "CRUMBS."

In a Q&A session, IVE shared the album's message. AN YUJIN said, "If we expanded that message from 'me' to 'us' in our previous album, this time we captured the way we positively influence one another and create new changes." JANG WONYOUNG said, "A small word of encouragement offered to someone can give courage to another person," adding, "We wanted to share the story that we can each become heroes to one another."

They also revealed their goals for these promotions. LIZ said, "I hope people listen to this album and think, 'That is IVE for you,'" adding, "I hope it becomes music that gives you strength the moment you hear it and, on some days, gives you confidence." GAEUL said, "True to the album's name, I want to show an impressive performance so captivating that you cannot take your eyes off the stage the moment you watch it."

As for their most memorable moments, REI selected her first challenge as an awards ceremony host this year, while LEESEO chose the world tour. IVE concluded their second world tour "SHOW WHAT I AM," which began in October of last year. The agency stated that during this tour, all shows at Kyocera Dome and Tokyo Dome in Japan sold out, and the North American tour was expanded from six cities to eight cities.
