The Netflix series "Severe Trauma Center" has officially confirmed the simultaneous production of Seasons 2 and 3.
On October 19, Netflix announced, "Seasons 2 and 3 of 'Severe Trauma Center' promise an even more upgraded chemistry among the cast and an expanded scale. Baek Kang-hyuk, who previously revived the severe trauma team with life-risking efforts, will once again initiate a 'major surgery' to make the impossible possible."
Season 2 of "Severe Trauma Center" will capture the story of Baek Kang-hyuk and the severe trauma team rushing to clear the blocked vessels of the system and safeguard the golden time of life and death amidst even greater disasters and unpredictable crises.
Fans are raising their expectations for the hard-fought struggles of the severe trauma team, who united to break through limits in Season 1, only to stand before a new path once again. Director Lee Do-yoon is set to write the script for Season 2, while rookie writer Tomasi will join Director Lee Do-yoon to add fresh energy for Season 3.
While the main cast members from the previous installment will once again grace Seasons 2 and 3, viewers will also be able to meet new faces. Ju Ji-hoon, the center of the severe trauma team, will continue his much-anticipated, refreshing performances as Baek Kang-hyuk. Attention is focused on how Baek Kang-hyuk, who receives a new mission in Season 2, will break through the crisis.
Choo Young-woo, the "Official No. 1," will delicately portray the growth of Yang Jae-won, who has emerged as Baek Kang-hyuk's successor. Yoon Kyung-ho, who brought laughter by equipping the "Baek Kang-hyuk ego" in every crisis situation, will infuse the play with delight as Han Yoo-rim, who has been promoted to the director of planning and coordination at Hankuk University Hospital.
Jung Jae-kwang, who drew attention with his impactful acting, is set to further solidify the team chemistry through his role as Park Kyung-won. Ha-young, who played nurse Chun Jang-mi in Season 1, will be replaced by a new face, Jeong Ye-in, following her departure due to controversy surrounding her pro-Japanese descendant lineage. Jeong Ye-in, a former member of the girl group Lovelyz, was cast through a fierce audition process.
"Severe Trauma Center" will soon begin filming for its new seasons.
