Following police carrying blue search-and-seizure boxes, Choi Choong-rak emerges with his face covered by a hat and mask.
[(Did you plan the crime in advance?) ...... (Do you have anything more to say to the victims?) ......]
The search and seizure of Choi's residence lasted for about an hour and a half starting at 8:00 AM.
Choi is known to have packed multiple weapons from his home into a backpack on the morning of the day of the knife rampage.
Having secured Choi's notebooks and other items through the search and seizure, the police plan to focus on proving his exact motives and the circumstances surrounding the pre-planned crime.
It was also confirmed that Choi stated during police questioning, "I thought about targeting a daycare on the day of the crime, but decided against it because it felt too extreme."
Although he did not mention a specific daycare, police are paying close attention to the fact that he considered places with only women and children and no adult males as targets.
This is because of the high possibility that he intended to inflict greater casualties by targeting people who could not easily resist.
Choi did not answer why he chose the large shopping complex where the knife rampage took place as the location for his crime.

The police plan to re-question Choi as soon as they finish analyzing the seized items.
