Group BTS has surpassed 10 billion yearly streams on Spotify, the world's largest music platform, becoming the first group in the world to achieve this milestone, their agency Big Hit Music announced.
This record was previously held by global solo artists such as Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Bad Bunny.
BTS's cumulative play count this year increased by 122% compared to the previous year (4.5 billion streams), driven by their 5th full-length album "ARIRANG," released in March of this year, which garnered over 5 billion streams.
"ARIRANG" is the most-streamed album released among new albums on Spotify this year.
