MG Community Credit Cooperatives has confirmed a customer data leak affecting around 400 people due to a hacking attack and has reported the incident to financial authorities, it was learned today (October 13).
According to the financial sector, some personal information—including the names, addresses, and resident registration numbers of about 400 customers—was confirmed to have been leaked from MG Community Credit Cooperatives, and the organization has reportedly notified authorities.
Previously, MG Community Credit Cooperatives had blocked an outflow by cutting off abnormal access from overseas internet addresses, but the data leak occurred after it was targeted again by dozens of new internet addresses, according to sources.
