The "2026 Hangang Mulbit Jazz Cruise," a festival celebrating the 100th anniversary of Korean jazz, will be held on the 31st around the Mulbit Stage at Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul.
The Jazz Association of Korea announced that this event was organized to commemorate 100 years since jazz was introduced to Korea, and that all performances can be enjoyed for free.
Making the most of the floating venue characteristic of the Hangang Mulbit Stage, this concert is planned to capture a 100-year journey—moving from American and South American jazz to Korean jazz—like a single cruise voyage.
On the main stage, performances will be presented by the Drumbob Band led by drummer Manuel Valyand, the latin jazz team Jumbo Mambo centered around latin vocalist Kim Kuk-chan and Yuhara, and the Saja Band formed around guitarist and singer-songwriter Choi Woo-jun.
Woong San, President of the Jazz Association of Korea, stated, "The 100-year journey of Korean jazz has been a voyage of embracing different sounds into a single harmony across borders and generations," adding, "We hope citizens will fully enjoy the values of harmony and freedom inherent in jazz over the sunset-kissed Hangang River through the 'Hangang Mulbit Jazz Cruise'."
