A media day event will be held ahead of the opening of the 2026-2027 Women's Professional Basketball season.
The Women's Korean Basketball League (WKBL) announced that it will host the opening media day for women's professional basketball at 3:00 PM on the 27th at the Riviera Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
A total of 18 people will attend the event, including the head coaches of the six WKBL clubs and two representative players from each team.
Attendees will include Kang Lee-seul (Woori Bank), Lee So-hee (BNK), Lee Hae-ran (Samsung Life Insurance), Jin An (Hana Bank), and Heo Ye-eun (KB), who won gold medals at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, as well as Park Ji-su (KB), who was named the regular league MVP for the 2025-2026 season.
The 2026-2027 Women's Professional Basketball season will open on the 1st of next month, with each team playing 35 regular league games.
