Actor Han Ye-ri has been cast as the lead in the film "Room 1301 Knows" (literal translation).
"Room 1301 Knows" is a black comedy that follows people trying to conceal their own secrets and desires who fall into an irreversible situation, sparked by a mysterious incident in a suite room of a Seoul hotel. Production began filming in September and is currently underway.
In the film, Han Ye-ri plays Bang Mi-jin, a secretary to a ruling party lawmaker. After encountering an unexpected incident in a hotel room where a secret meeting was held, she is plunged into an uncontrollable situation as unforeseen figures begin to appear. As a character who keenly observes her surroundings to find a way out even during volatile moments, her ever-shifting emotions and hard-to-read inner thoughts are expected to heighten the film's suspense.
Han Ye-ri has demonstrated a broad acting spectrum across diverse works, including the films "As One", "Haemoo", "Worst Woman", "A Quiet Dream", "The Table", and "Minari". Having continually brought characters to life through her distinct interpretations regardless of genre or character type, she drew worldwide attention for her portrayal of the resilient yet delicate Monica in the film "Minari".
