A man in his 50s who falsely accused a victim of fabricating evidence after facing internal disciplinary action for sending sexual messages to a subordinate has been sentenced to probation.

Chuncheon District Court Judge Koh Beom-jin, presiding over Criminal Court Division 2, announced that 50-something A, who was indicted on charges of false accusation, was sentenced to six months in prison suspended for one year.

A alleged that B, a former colleague, fabricated evidence as if receiving text messages containing sexual content from A and submitted it to the court, thereby claiming attempted litigation fraud.

However, it was found that A had actually sent sexual messages to the victim nine times, including statements such as "I think I'm going crazy, I'm going crazy over your beauty."

Despite this, A filed a lawsuit against B and the company, claiming that B had fabricated false evidence and submitted it to the company's audit office resulting in unfair disciplinary action, but lost all the cases.

Previously, A was demoted in January 2024 on the grounds of directing unilateral sexual remarks and behaviors toward subordinate employees.

In May of the same year, A posted a civil lawsuit complaint demanding damages against three victimized employees, including B, without anonymizing it on an SNS bulletin board joined by all employees, which led to A's dismissal for secondary victimization.

The court explained the sentencing reasoning, stating, "We took into account that the defendant has belatedly confessed to all crimes and that the risk of punishment for B did not materialize due to the defendant's actions."
