Around 4:40 p.m. on the same day, two anglers were stranded on the coastal rocks near Biseokbawi in Yeongheungdo, Ongjin-gun, after failing to notice the incoming tide, but they were safely rescued by the Coast Guard.
On October 9, a man in his 60s who went missing while coastal foraging in Yeongheungdo was found dead the following morning.
The Incheon Coast Guard stated, "Various marine incidents occurred during the holiday period coinciding with the spring tide, but we did our utmost for prompt lifesaving." They urged the public to thoroughly follow safety rules, such as checking tide times and weather information in advance and always wearing life jackets when engaging in coastal activities.
