North Korea fired an unidentified projectile toward Donghae this morning (October 12), South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff is analyzing the specifications, flight range, and other details of the projectile.
If the projectile is confirmed to be a ballistic missile, it would be North Korea's first launch in nine days.
Japan's Ministry of Defense stated that North Korea fired what appears to be a ballistic missile and that it is believed to have already fallen.
