Kim Min-jong has opened up about the suspicions surrounding illegal gambling.
On the SBS variety show "My Little Old Boy" broadcast on the 11th, Yoon Min-soo and Lee Jong-hyuk were shown visiting Kim Min-jong's home in Yangpyeong.
On this day, Kim Min-jong revealed his remodeled Yangpyeong house and expressed his honest feelings about the recent suspicions surrounding him.
Recently, singer MC Mong caused a stir by exposing that an illegal gambling gathering involving celebrities existed and claiming that Kim Min-jong was part of it.
In response, Kim Min-jong dismissed all allegations as completely groundless. As his reputation and trust built over 38 years since his debut were tarnished, leading to damages such as the suspension of discussions for a Hollywood project and commercials that he was in detailed talks for, he filed a complaint against MC Mong.
However, Kim Min-jong ultimately dropped the lawsuit. Regarding this, Kim Min-jong calmly stated, "I did it for myself. Even if I kept going, things wouldn't get any better."
Watching this, Lee Jong-hyuk asked, "Did you just accept his apology and end it?" Kim Min-jong explained, "He apologized very sincerely. And I figured there was no further meaning in dragging it out, so I decided to drop the lawsuit for my own peace of mind."
Nevertheless, Kim Min-jong ended up stepping down from the project he was scheduled to film. Expressing his feelings, Kim Min-jong said, "I guess it wasn't meant to be," adding, "My mentality was shaken and it was difficult, but now that it's all passed, I've sorted things out," eliciting sympathy.
