Late-night access disruptions on South Korea's major e-commerce platform Coupang and food delivery app Coupang Eats have caused continued inconvenience for users.
At around 1:00 a.m. today (October 9), the Coupang and Coupang Eats applications experienced issues where screens failed to display properly or user information such as login data could not be loaded.
Only error messages such as "Network connection is unstable" upon login and "Failed to load user information" on the address setting screen are currently being displayed.
Coupang's customer service center stated, "Customer and order information cannot be verified due to an IT system error," adding, "We are taking measures to normalize services."
Regarding the possibility of a hacking incident, they explained, "That is not the case."
