Fortunately, there are no unusual weather variables today, and the launch is proceeding smoothly according to plan. Weathercaster Soojin explains the meteorological conditions required to launch a space vehicle and what the current weather is like in Goheung.

The weather will also need to cooperate for a successful launch of the Nuri rocket.
There are largely five weather-related variables.
The first is wind.
The average surface wind speed around the launch pad must not exceed 15 meters per second.
The maximum instantaneous wind speed must be 20 meters per second or less.
The second is lightning.
Because it can affect electronic communication equipment, there must be no lightning within an 18-kilometer radius of the flight trajectory.
The third is ground temperature.
The temperature must be between -10°C (14°F) and below 35°C (95°F).
Fourth, humidity must be 98% or lower.
Finally, visibility must be secured at 3 kilometers or more.
Currently, the temperature in Goheung, South Jeolla Province, is 22.1°C (72°F), with a humidity of 41% and a maximum instantaneous wind speed of 4.9 meters per second.
With clear skies as well, no major weather-related variables are expected for the launch.
