On "Whenever Possible," Yu Jae-seok cannot hide his impatience when faced with the trademark laid-back pace of Chungcheong locals.
In the episode of the SBS variety show "Whenever Possible" airing on October 6, the "Two Yoo Hosts," Yu Jae-seok and Yoo Yeonseok, team up with guest "gap-friends" actors Yoo Jae-myung and Lee Sun-bin to seek out spare moments across the Cheonan area.
During the shoot, Seoul-native Yu Jae-seok grows anxious at a bus stop when the bus fails to arrive for over two minutes despite the digital transit sign reading "Arriving soon." When Yu Jae-seok asks, "In Seoul, when it says 'Arriving soon,' it arrives within 30 seconds, so is it not here yet?" Cheonan native Lee Sun-bin calmly retorts, "Ain't this Chungcheong Province?" bringing laughter to the set.
Even after boarding the bus, the restlessness continues for Yu Jae-seok, Yoo Yeonseok, and Yoo Jae-myung, who hail from Seoul and Busan. As the three men press at every single stop, asking, "Are we there yet?" Yu Jae-seok casts a doubtful look, remarking, "You've been saying we're getting off soon since earlier, but we still haven't arrived. I can't trust what Sun-bin says anymore."
In response, Lee Sun-bin reportedly put the three men at ease immediately by explaining the unique Chungcheong way of calculating time, saying, "In Chungcheong Province, a 10-minute distance is practically right around the corner. We really are almost there."
The Tuesday night variety ratings leader "Whenever Possible" airs tonight (October 6) at 9 PM.
