Professional baseball club LG Twins announced that they have invited permanently retired number legends Futures Coach Lee Byung-kyu and baseball commentator Park Yong-taek to throw the ceremonial first pitch for their final home game at Jamsil Baseball Stadium.

Coach Lee and Commentator Park are scheduled to attend autograph sessions and the ceremonial first pitch event during the 2026 KBO League home game against the Doosan Bears, which will take place at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul on October 7.

Coach Lee shared, "I have so many great memories associated with Jamsil Stadium. It is bittersweet to hear that this place will be gone."

Commentator Park stated, "It seems we must now bury Jamsil Stadium in our memories. I nurtured big dreams at Jamsil and worked up a sweat chasing those dreams. It is an honor to throw the ceremonial first pitch for the final home game."

The LG Twins have prepared various events to mark their final home game at Jamsil Stadium.

Before the game starts, they will take a final group photo with the Doosan Bears squad, who shared Jamsil Stadium as co-tenants. Following that, LG General Manager Cha Myung-seok will present flower bouquets to ground-maintenance staff, cafeteria workers, cleaning personnel, and facility-management officials.

After the match, a postseason send-off ceremony and a fireworks show commemorating the final regular-season farewell at Jamsil Stadium will be held.

Having opened in July 1982 and served for 44 years as the mecca of Korean baseball, Jamsil Stadium will be demolished after this year in accordance with the Seoul Metropolitan Government's private investment project to create the Jamsil Sports and MICE complex.

Following construction work, a state-of-the-art new stadium is scheduled to be built in its place.
