Professional baseball team KIA claimed a thrilling come-from-behind victory against LG to climb to third place. For LG, Austin hit the team's first-ever 40th home run of the season, but the team dropped to fourth after falling into a seven-game losing streak.

LG started off strong.
In the bottom of the first inning, Austin scooped up a low forkball to hit a two-run homer over the left-field wall.
Reactivating his home run bat for the first time in three weeks, Austin recorded the club's first-ever 40-home run season, closing in just one behind home run co-leaders Kim Doyoung of KIA and Hilliard of KT.
However, whenever LG took the lead, KIA relentlessly caught up.
In the top of the second inning, Park Min hit a two-RBI timely hit to immediately even the score.
LG regained the lead in the bottom of the fourth when Lee Jae-won smashed a massive 133-meter home run that landed at the very top of the stands, but KIA tied it up once again in the top of the eighth with an RBI hit by Na Sung-bum.
In the bottom of the eighth, LG extended its lead to 5-3 thanks to Park Dong-won's two-run homer, but KIA's late-game resilience proved stronger.
During their final attack in the top of the ninth, Kim Tae-gun and Lee Ho-yeon delivered back-to-back RBI hits to tie the game at 5-5. In the ensuing one-out, bases-loaded opportunity, Castro hit a sacrifice fly to left field to complete a 6-5 comeback victory.
Extending its winning streak to two games, KIA edged ahead of LG in winning percentage with no games behind, reclaiming third place. Meanwhile, LG, trapped in a seven-game losing streak, is now being chased by the fifth-place Doosan Bears within a three-game margin.
Doosan secured a dominant 12-0 victory against Samsung, racking up 20 hits in total, including four home runs.
