On the final day of the archery events, male recurve archer Lee Woo-seok won the individual gold medal. With the final arrow shot after repeating the name of his son, who was born three months ago, he secured his second gold medal of the competition.

After Kim Je-deok was eliminated early in the round of 16, Lee Woo-seok advanced to the finals alone. He gained the early momentum by repeatedly hitting the dead center of the target against Japan's Nakanishi to take the first set.
After recording ties in the second and third sets to enter the fourth set with a 4-2 lead, he secured the upper hand with two consecutive 10s and repeated the name of his child born three months ago.

With a three-point lead, Lee confirmed his victory by shooting his final arrow into the 9-ring, and enjoyed the joy of becoming a double gold medalist following the team event while holding the South Korean flag.

Following Kang Chae-young's defeat to 17-year-old Indian newcomer Komalika Mohit in the quarterfinals, even Oh Ye-jin lost to Mohit in a shoot-off thriller in the finals, wrapping up both the team and individual events without a gold medal.
Facing fierce pursuit from competing nations like India, the South Korean recurve archery team concluded the competition with a somewhat disappointing 2 gold medals for the world's strongest powerhouse.
