Celebrating its milestone 30th anniversary, "SBS Gayo Daejeon" has officially confirmed its first-ever two-day event, launching the biggest Christmas music festival to date.
On October 1, SBS announced, "Marking its 30th anniversary this year, the '2026 SBS Gayo Daejeon' will take place over two days on Thursday, December 24, and Friday, December 25, at KINTEX in Ilsan."
First launched in 1996 and celebrating a meaningful 30th anniversary this year, "SBS Gayo Daejeon" has stood as the quintessential year-end festival of South Korea. In particular, by locking in an unprecedented two-day mega-event spanning Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the show will offer global K-pop fans an even richer visual and musical feast.
Commemorating this historic 30th-anniversary milestone, the stage will feature an extraordinary lineup of special performances reflecting on 30 years of K-pop history at a glance. Legendary veteran artists who laid the foundation for K-pop and top-tier artists currently leading the global music market will join forces to deliver generation-transcending collaboration stages that can only be seen at "SBS Gayo Daejeon."
The production team of "Gayo Daejeon" shared their ambitions, stating, "To repay the support and love sent to us over the past 30 years, we are preparing a Christmas gift that is more special and diverse than ever before. We will create a festival where everyone can come together and celebrate across generations."
The performing artist lineup for "2026 SBS Gayo Daejeon," which promises an unprecedented scale, will be revealed sequentially at a later date.
