Announcer couple Bae Sung-jae (48) and Kim Dayoung (34) are becoming parents a year and a half after getting married.
According to the broadcasting industry on the 30th, Kim is currently pregnant and is expecting to give birth late this year. Overcoming a 14-year age gap, the two tied the knot in May of last year through a small family gathering instead of a traditional wedding after dating for two years, and they are now welcoming their first child 1 year and 6 months into their marriage.
Previously, pregnancy rumors were raised among fans after Kim was spotted wearing loose-fitting clothes and showing a visible baby bump in daily photos shared on her personal social media accounts. As fans guessed, the couple is reportedly fully focused on preparing for the birth at the end of the year.
Bae and Kim, who are senior and junior former SBS announcers, served at different times but built a connection through the variety show Kick a Goal and developed into romantic partners.
Meanwhile, Bae, who declared free agency in 2021, is currently active as the main caster for SBS at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Kim hosted weekday sports news on SBS 8 News before leaving the network in April of last year. The couple previously revealed their daily married life by appearing on the SBS show You're my destiny.
