The 2026 Incheon Art Show, the largest art festival in the capital region, will hold a free charity concert in collaboration with the Bupyeong Arts Center ahead of its opening in November.
Held as a preliminary cultural event for the 2026 Incheon Art Show, the concert will feature world-renowned pianist Kim Joon-hee under the theme of "Chopin Omakase."
"Chopin Omakase" is characterized by the pianist selecting the pieces and performance order on the spot from among Chopin's piano works without a pre-determined program, completing that day's stage based entirely on the performer's choices.
Kim Joon-hee, who won the Vladimir Horowitz International Piano Competition, completed the Meisterschloss (highest performance) courses at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and the Muenster University of Music in Germany. He has collaborated with major domestic and international orchestras such as the Orchestre National de France, the KBS Symphony Orchestra, and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, and has served as the general artistic director of the Santa Barbara International Music Festival in Italy since 2019.
This concert is also linked with "Culture Butterfly," a sharing project by the Bupyeong Arts Center's sponsorship committee, carrying the significance of supporting the creative activities of local artists and expanding opportunities for citizens to enjoy arts and culture.
Starting with this free charity concert, the Incheon Art Show Organizing Committee plans to continue providing opportunities for citizens to experience arts and culture in various ways leading up to the main event in November.
Meanwhile, the 2026 Incheon Art Show, marking its 6th anniversary this year, will be held at Songdo Convensia from November 19 to 22.
