Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, has expressed his resolve to drive out hostile forces, including the United States, which seek to return Iran to its past era of subjugation, completely pushing them beyond the Strait of Hormuz and out of the Arabian Sea.
Mojtaba made the remarks in a public statement released on the 28th (local time) to mark "Sacred Defense Week" (the anniversary week of the Iran-Iraq War) and the second anniversary of the martyrdom of former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
"Imperialist forces have sought to drag Iran back to its former state through wars and other means since the early days of the revolution," Mojtaba said. "As a servant of the Iranian nation, I declare that the era of backwardness, humiliation, and subjugation that our enemies so deeply yearn for us to return to has passed completely and will never return."
Mojtaba also assessed, "Despite widespread oppression by arrogant powers and pressures such as two wars, the Islamic system has grown even firmer and stronger like a phoenix rising from the ashes." He added, "Now, this phoenix has grown large enough to cast a shadow over the territory of hostile nations."
He also issued a high-level warning directed at Western powers regarding maritime security and military dominance in the region.
"In the past, the southern waters of Iran were a playground for enemy forces, but now, having suffered painful blows from the Hormuz Strait garrison and brave warriors, they dare not venture beyond the Arabian Sea," Mojtaba claimed.
"Every time the enemies take risks and enter, they bring disaster upon themselves," he emphasized, adding, "Before long, the Arabian Sea will also be completely liberated from them."
Emphasizing internal unity, Mojtaba stated that more than 30 million Iranian citizens have pledged their commitment to the country, while warning regional factions relying on the false promises of Israel and imperialists that "only shame, defeat, and humiliation await them."
