Kurash, a martial art similar to judo, is an official Asian Games event. South Korea's Mo Su-min has claimed a valuable silver medal after competing against heavier opponents in a weight class above her own.

In Kurash, which resembles judo but strictly permits only standing throws for attacks, Mo competed in the heavier 78kg division after her original women's 70kg weight class was excluded from the competition.
After a surprising and successful run all the way to the final, she faced an opponent from Uzbekistan, the birthplace of Kurash. Engaged in a tough battle against an opponent 10kg heavier, she ultimately fell short and secured the silver medal.
[Mo Su-min / National Kurash Team Member : I wasn't able to gain weight. Even in the 70kg class, I usually compete without cutting weight, so the moment I gripped her, I immediately thought, 'Ah, she's strong,' and 'This is going to be tough.']
Originally a judoka, Mo expressed her ambition to succeed in both judo and Kurash.

Mo became the first South Korean female athlete to win a medal in the Asian Games Kurash event.

The national shooting team also added a silver medal in the women's 25m pistol team event, featuring Bong Seo-lin, Yang Ji-in, and Oh Ye-jin.
Despite an unfortunate setback when Yang Ji-in's 21st shot was delayed and resulted in a score of zero, the eldest teammate and mother shooter Bong Seo-lin delivered an impressive performance with a rapid-fire total of 292 points, presenting a proud silver medal to her 3-year-old daughter.
