Choseok Return Traffic Builds Up, Peak Expected at 2 PM

As traffic heads back to Seoul on September 26, the third day of the Choseok holiday, congestion continues in various sections of major highways.

Based on traffic conditions at 7 AM today, the Korea Expressway Corporation projected that the drive to Seoul would take 5 hours and 40 minutes from Busan, and 5 hours and 20 minutes each from Ulsan and Mokpo.

Traffic congestion for those returning home is expected to reach its peak around 2 PM, taking about 7 hours and 30 minutes from Busan, 6 hours and 30 minutes from Daegu, and 6 hours and 20 minutes from Gwangju, based on arrival at the Seoul Tollgate.

The corporation estimated that 5.9 million vehicles will hit the roads today, urging drivers to check traffic information before departure and practice safe driving.
