Police are tracking down unidentified intruders who broke into a Chinese restaurant in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, late at night, smashing windows and damaging the sign before fleeing.
The Bundang Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced that a report was received from the restaurant owner, identified by the surname A, at around 8:30 AM today (September 24) stating that the store had been vandalized.
After reviewing CCTV footage from the store, police confirmed that two individuals, presumed to be men wearing masks, broke through the glass of the back door at around 2:40 AM today and stayed inside for about an hour.
At the scene, broken windows, a damaged point-of-sale (POS) terminal, and chairs were found, and investigations showed that a black liquid had been sprayed across various parts of the store.
Owner A reportedly told police that the ingredients inside the restaurant had a strange smell.
Based on A's statement, police have requested an analysis from the National Forensic Service to identify the substance sprayed in the store, while analyzing nearby CCTV footage to track the suspects' movements.
