Fencing star Oh Sang-uk has clinched the top of the podium with a thrilling comeback at the Nagoya Asian Games. He secured his second consecutive gold medal in the sabre individual event and is now aiming for a double crown as he heads into the team event.

Oh advanced to the final with unstoppable momentum to face China's Shen Chenpeng.
Quickly launching an attack right as the match began, he collided with his opponent and sprained his ankle.
After receiving first aid, Oh returned to the piste, even displaying sportsmanship by helping his opponent up when he fell. However, he found himself trailing 13-11, making for a tough battle.

In a crisis, following the wishes of SBS commentator Gu Bon-gil, Oh attacked aggressively to close the gap to a single point, then used his signature long lunge to tie the score at 13-13.
Riding the momentum, Oh successfully turned the tide to take a 14-13 lead, let out a loud roar, and launched a final attack with a deep split.

Oh unfurled the South Korean flag to celebrate his gold medal.

Postponing back surgery and competing through the pain, Oh reached the summit for the second consecutive time, proving once again that he is the flagship of South Korean fencing following his two gold medals at the Paris Olympics.

Having led South Korea to its fifth consecutive individual men's sabre title, Oh will chase his fourth straight team title and his second consecutive double crown of the competition the day after tomorrow (September 26).
Meanwhile, Park Ji-hee won a silver medal in the women's foil, completing a sweep of medals across all four individual fencing events over the past two days.
