Man in His 60s Arrested for Entering Women's Restroom Dressed as a Woman

A man in his 60s was arrested by police after entering a women's restroom while intoxicated and dressed in women's clothing.

The Hwaseong Seobu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced today (September 22) that it has arrested and is currently investigating a man in his 60s, surnamed Jeong, on charges of violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes (entering public places for sexual purposes).

Jeong is accused of entering a women's restroom in a building located in Hyangnam-eup, Hwaseong, while dressed as a woman at around 8:10 PM yesterday and staying inside for five minutes.

He was caught after a citizen, who grew suspicious upon seeing Jeong headed toward the women's restroom in female attire, reported him to the police.

Police confirmed that there was no one inside the restroom at the time, and no suspicious footage was found on Jeong's mobile phone.

Authorities also found that Jeong was not in possession of any suspicious items such as illegal filming equipment.

During police questioning, Jeong reportedly stated, "When I get drunk, I feel an urge to dress as a woman."
