The South Korean women's national field hockey team secured its second consecutive victory in the group stage of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Coached by Kim Yong-su, the national team defeated Kazakhstan 7-0 in their second Group A match of the tournament held at the Green Stadium in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, on September 21.
Having won their opening match 3-1 against Chinese Taipei three days ago, South Korea notched back-to-back wins, cruising smoothly toward their primary goal of advancing to the semifinals.
South Korea seized early momentum at the start of the first quarter with a field goal by Park Mi-hyang (KT), and then firmly took control of the game near the end of the second quarter with consecutive goals by Ahn Su-jin and Kim Jung-in (both from Pyeongtaek City Hall).
In the third quarter, starting with a goal by team captain Lee Yuri (KT), they poured in four more goals to seal the victory.
South Korea will play its third match against Bangladesh at 9:00 a.m. on September 23 at the same venue.
