Actor Kim Nam-gil captivated audiences by taking the stage as a rookie singer at his first music festival.
Kim Nam-gil performed a 30-minute full-band live set on the second day of the KB Joy Olpark Festival 2026, held on September 20 at the 88 Lawn Field in Olympic Park, Seoul. This marks his first festival performance, coming half a year after his debut as a singer with his first single "Running to You" last March.
Taking the stage with a full-band session, Kim Nam-gil opened the concert with Nell's "Time Walking on Memory." Greeting the crowd with a playful remark, "Nice to meet you, I am rookie singer Kim Nam-gil," he instantly charmed the audience with his relaxed wit, adding, "I'll keep my words short today."
He then passionately performed Nell's "Four Times Around the Sun" and Jung Joon-il's "Hug Me" with his signature deeply emotional vocals, even venturing out onto the extended stage. Switching up the mood, he elevated the energy with DAY6's "Time of Our Life" and brought the set to a highlight with his debut song "Running to You," drawing enthusiastic cheers and encore requests from the audience.
Having conquered university festivals and now large-scale music festivals to solidify his presence as singer Kim Nam-gil, he is also continuing his relentless hard work as an actor.
Currently filming as the lead in the new SBS drama "Nightmare" and awaiting the release of the film "Canvas of Blood," Kim Nam-gil has also confirmed activities as the host for the 35th Buil Film Awards on October 7 and as the official ambassador for the Seoul International Drama Awards 2026 on October 8, previewing all-around active pursuits.
