A film capturing the most passionate and intense year of Sean, the entertainment industry's representative runner, is set to be released.
"Shall We Run" (directed by Kim Tae-hwan and Jang Jae-ha / distributed by Megabox and Filmmaker Gram) is a work that closely records Sean's journey as he completed the World Marathon Majors throughout 2025, facing his own limits.
Sean ran a total of 295.365 kilometers across the World Marathon Majors, starting in Tokyo and continuing through Boston, London, Sydney, Berlin, Chicago, and New York. He challenged the London Marathon just six days after completing the Boston Marathon, and completed the Sydney Marathon about two weeks after running 81.5 kilometers for Liberation Day. Even in situations where his toenails fell off and injuries continued in his Achilles tendon and other areas, he pushed forward toward his goal until the end.
"Shall We Run" goes beyond simply recording a completed finish, expanding into the question, "Why do we run?" Through the people he met while running alongside runners from around the world, his battle with himself, and the process of stepping back onto the starting line, the film highlights what running means to life.
Sean shared his thoughts, saying, "I got to see how an entire city becomes a festival through a marathon. The people running and the people cheering become one mind to create a small miracle called finishing. Running together with people who each have their own stories—a 90-year-old grandfather, a 32-week pregnant woman, a young man wearing a prosthetic leg, and a father running with his disabled child in a wheelchair—made me feel overwhelmed and happy."
For Sean, running also connected to sharing and practice. To commemorate the 80th anniversary of national liberation, he donated a total of 295,365,000 won to Habitat for Korea, calculated at 1,000 won per meter of the total 295.365 km distance across the seven marathons. The donation will be used for a housing project for descendants of independence activists.
In particular, actor PARK BOGUM participating in the narration adds to the anticipation. PARK BOGUM, a member of the running crew "Unknown Crew" led by Sean, will directly introduce Sean's marathon journey and enhance the film's immersion.
"Shall We Run" is also the feature film directorial debut of Creative MUT CEO Kim Tae-hwan. Director Kim, who has directed commercials, brand videos, and media exhibitions, recently directed the BIGBANG 20th debut anniversary exhibition, and in this work, he co-directed with Director Jang Jae-ha to closely record Sean's challenge process. Director Kim stated, "Rather than records, I focused on the process of Sean facing his limits and running forward again."
