Teqball national team member Lee Jun-seok has claimed the South Korean delegation's third gold medal at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Lee defeated Iraq's Ali Jaleel Mezher Al-Aleyawi 2-0 (12-11, 12-5) in the men's singles teqball final held today (September 20) at the Nagoya Higashi Sports Center in Japan.
This marks South Korea's third gold medal of the games, following Seong Seung-min's gold in the women's modern pentathlon individual event and the gold medal in the men's modern pentathlon team event.
Teqball, a sport where players hit a soccer ball back and forth across a curved specially designed table, made its debut as an official medal event at this tournament, making Lee the first-ever teqball gold medalist in Asian Games history.
