Defender Lee Kang-hee, playing for Austrian professional football club FK Austria Wien, rescued his team from defeat by scoring his first goal of the season just two minutes after coming off the bench.
FK Austria Wien drew 2-2 against GAK in an away match of the 2026-2027 Austrian Bundesliga 7th round held at the Merkur Arena in Graz, Austria, on the 20th (Korean time), thanks to Lee Kang-hee's equalizer in the 36th minute of the second half while trailing 2-1.
FK Austria Wien (7 points), which secured a 2-1 come-from-behind victory in the previous 6th round with a crucial winning assist from Lee, extended their undefeated streak to two matches (1 win, 1 draw) and ranked 9th.
FK Austria Wien faced GAK with Lee Tae-seok starting as the left wingback and Lee Kang-hee sitting on the bench.
After conceding the opening goal just 15 minutes into the first half, FK Austria Wien leveled the score 1-1 at halftime through Manfred Fischer's goal in the 45th minute of the first half.
Having conceded another goal in the 10th minute of the second half, FK Austria Wien substituted Lee Tae-seok off in the 25th minute of the second half and brought on Lee Kang-hee in the 34th minute of the second half to strengthen their defense.
Lee Kang-hee scored a precious equalizer just two minutes after stepping onto the pitch.
In the 36th minute of the second half, following a free kick delivered by Johannes Eggestein from the right side of midfield, Aleksandar Dragović headed the ball down from the center of the penalty area, and Lee Kang-hee rushed toward the left side of the goal area to score with a left-footed one-touch shot.
Lee Kang-hee showcased his "one-shot, one-kill" ability by turning his very first ball touch into an equalizer.
This goal marks Lee's first official goal of the season and his first since joining FK Austria Wien in June of last year.
Lee has recorded 1 goal and 1 assist solely in the regular league this season.
Having also provided a dramatic 2-1 comeback winning assist during stoppage time of the second half when the score was tied 1-1 in the 6th round, Lee recorded attacking points in two consecutive matches, securing a valuable point for his team.
