After securing a hard-fought comeback win in the first singles match yesterday (September 18) and collapsing with severe cramps in his legs, Kwon returned to the court today to dominate India's Sumit Nagal, ranked 247th in the world.
Maintaining the lead throughout the match with powerful strokes and dazzling drop shots, he easily cruised to a 2-0 victory in just 68 minutes, sealing South Korea's overall 3-1 series win.
Olympic Park Tennis Center erupted in euphoria, and the players rushed to the court to embrace Kwon and celebrate their joy.
This marks the first time in history that South Korea has advanced to the Davis Cup quarterfinals.
