Summer-like temperatures still linger during the day.
The late summer heat is set to continue through the weekend.
High temperatures will climb to 29°C (84°F) in Seoul and 30°C (86°F) in Gwangju, while Gangneung, affected by easterly winds, will stay cooler at 25°C (77°F).
Currently, light rain or scattered raindrops are falling in the east coast region due to the influence of easterly winds.
These conditions are expected to linger in some areas until this afternoon.
Most other regions will be clear with strong ultraviolet rays during the midday hours.
Strong swell waves will also roll into the coasts of Jeju.
Looking at detailed daytime highs, Jeonju will rise to 30°C (86°F) and Daejeon to 28°C (82°F), leading to wide temperature differences between day and night.
Clear weather is expected to continue for the time being.
